Video game violence, no sir, not here. Enjoy the simpler things in a GameBoy Advance console game.
Is there a point to it? What does it mean? I think that I could say the same about life in general. The important thing is not how it was created, but why it was created at all.
Here is a preview release of things to come. This is sort of a test of the controls of the main character, the aforementioned bunny, and of the look of the game. I would like comments. If there is anything jarring in the controls or if you have any suggestions, let me know. However, I have made some guidelines that I do not intend to break so do not make a suggestion contrary to the mission statement.
Update (03/28/03): There is a new testing version of Bunny Advance. The bunny can now get the carrot. Try it out.
Update (11/07/03): New testing version. There is some new art work and an improved graphics storage scheme. Also pausing may come in handy to admire your glorious hopping.
Bunny Advance Manifesto:
- There will be no superficial violence, if any violence at all.
- There will be no superficial point, if any point at all.
- There will be no political references.
- Necessarily, decisions about gameplay will reflect peace, harmony, or other things I like.
- All artwork will be simple line drawings done on paper, and will remain black & white.
- I will not stoop to corporate sponsorship, unless they sign my manifesto and follow it to the letter under their day-to-day operations, from mailboy to CEO.
- The artistic vision will always be the primary consideration. I think of it as an art project, not just a video game.
- While this is an art project, it is also a game, which means that it has to be fun. Every effort will be made in the preservation of fun.
